VCON's IGC 2000 audio conferencing bridge now includes support for BlackBerry Wireless Handhelds for scheduling, and making and receiving calls

(January 28, 2004) Austin, Texas - VCON (Nouveau Marché No. 022021), a worldwide leader in audio and videoconferencing solutions, today announced that it is a member of the BlackBerry® ISV Alliance Program. Being a member of the program allows VCON's R&D team to integrate the functions of the IGC 2000 with BlackBerry Wireless Handhelds™.

The IGC 2000 is Emblaze-VCON's newest addition to its rich media conferencing and collaboration solution portfolio. As an audio conferencing bridge, the IGC 2000 has all of the standard features expected from business-class bridges as well as other unique conferencing features. Its integration with BlackBerry means that anyone will be able to start or join an IGC audio conference from their BlackBerry Wireless Handheld. BlackBerry users will also be able to control various audio conference functions, such as joining a new participant or changing the volume.
