vPoint HD is industry's first desktop videoconferencing software to feature H.264 videoconferencing standard

Supporting H.264 means that vPoint HD will provide twice the quality at the same bandwidth. This guarantees clearer, sharper video for desktop users who may have limited bandwidth for videoconferencing. vPoint HD not only encompasses high quality audio and video, but also includes features and functionality that move it beyond a standard desktop videoconferencing application. One example is vMail, which allows users to send video email or record personal video clips. vMail is easy to use and is perfect for recording and storing training clips as well as sending video emails to friends and colleagues.

vPoint HD operates with a standard USB web-cam and will function without a USB authentication key for up to 30-days. After the 30-day trial, users can purchase a USB authentication key and continue using the conferencing software without having to reinstall it, thus saving any address book or speed dial entries. VCON introduced vPoint HD in June. When sold in conjunction with the VCON MXM, vPoint HD seats are free of charge.
