IR Extender Cable Length for the HD2000

Problem Description:
The HD2000 has a built-in IR receiver in the front, but also has a connector for an IR extender in the back. What length of extender cable can be used with this connector?

Resolution:

The HD2000 ships with a 1.8m (~6 ft) IR extender cable and an external IR receiver. The connector should support an extender cable of up to 100m (~325 ft).

Additionally, when a cable is inserted into the IR extender connector on the back of the system, the built-in IR receiver on the front will automatically be disabled.
